The AI compares their selfie against all indexed faces and returns every photo they appear in — typically in under 3 seconds, even for events with thousands of images. The entire matching process is fully automated and anonymized.
Do guests need to download an app to use face recognition?
No. Face recognition works directly in the web browser. Guests click a link or scan a QR code, tap 'Find My Photos,' take a selfie using their phone camera, and see results immediately. No app download, no account creation.
Is the face recognition free for event guests?
Yes. Face recognition search is always free for guests. Event organizers and photographers pay for the Kamero platform, but guests never pay to find or download their photos.
Is my selfie stored as an image?
No. Selfies are never stored as images. The face is immediately converted into an anonymous face vector — a mathematical representation — and only that vector is used for matching. The original selfie image is not retained.
Is my facial data linked to my identity?
No. Data is indexed against randomized UUIDs. Kamero never links facial data to a guest's name, email, phone number, or any other identifying information. Nothing is tied to a real identity. The process is fully anonymous by design.
When is my facial data deleted?
Deletion is automatic. When an admin deletes a photo or event, all data linked to that photo/event is permanently deleted immediately. If the event is not manually deleted, data is automatically deleted after event expiry plus a 7-day renewal grace period. Users have full control over deletion at any time.
Is there any manual human review of photos or selfies?
No. The entire matching process is fully automated. There is no manual human review of guest photos or selfies at any stage. The AI handles everything from face detection to matching to delivery.
Can event organizers add extra authentication before face recognition?
Yes. Kamero can add an additional verification layer, such as an event-specific passcode, that guests must enter before running a face search. This feature is available with the white-label app package for organizations requiring extra security.
